Jitender Gill, MD is a Psychiatry Resident at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Gill has interests in harm reduction, addiction peer support groups and drug policies. Through the Fellowship, he hopes to better understand the factors that lead to successfully abstaining from drugs and alcohol and exploring the barriers patients experience when trying to access addiction services. Dr. Gill also has interest in examining the interplay between comorbid psychiatric illnesses and substance use disorders. In the future, Dr. Gill plans to pursue subspecialty training in Forensic Psychiatry.
