Researchers with the BC Centre on Substance Use (BCCSU) and Professors at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University regularly supervise postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and undergraduate students interested in topics relating to substance use and addiction. BCCSU researchers work in a range of fields, from public health and public policy to sociology and medicine.
The BCCSU is a rich research environment, home to many addiction-related research projects funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the US National Institutes on Drug Abuse. Interested postdoctoral fellows and students have abundant opportunities to conduct and publish peer-reviewed research and participate in other research activities. Researchers with the BCCSU have considerable experience mentoring trainees in research.
Interested postdoctoral fellows and students should contact BCCSU Investigators directly to discuss potential training opportunities.
Research and other training opportunities are also available for co-op students through the UBC Co-operative Education program. Learn more here.
