This year's BC Substance Use Conference 2021 brings together stakeholders from across the province to share clinical expertise, lived experiences, and the latest evidence relating to substance use.

This two-day virtual conference will include keynote speakers, presentations, and panels on the latest research, education, and clinical care guidance on our conference theme – Bridging The Gap: Connecting harm reduction, treatment and recovery.


Conference kick-off: June 16 from 1pm - 5pm PDT
Full-day conference: June 17 from 8am - 5pm PDT

Learning Objectives

  • Provide safe and effective treatment and care to patients and their families across the continuum of care for substance use disorders
  • Appreciate the complexity of substance use and substance use disorders, and the urgency to adopt practice changes and innovative solutions in BC
  • Promote recovery, prevention, safety, wellness, and harm reduction to improve patient care and support for those with substance use disorders
  • Describe new evidence-based research findings and innovative implementation models from around the province
