Dr. Dave Cyr

Dr. Dave Cyr, MD, is a Postdoctoral Addiction Medicine Fellow with the BC Centre on Substance Use. His research and clinical interests include working with vulnerable and marginalized populations, particularly in the areas of substance use, Aboriginal health, and at-risk youth, and advocating for changes at the societal and governmental policy levels. Dr. Cyr is a proud Montrealer of mixed descent who obtained his medical degree in 2014 from McGill University, where he subsequently pursued a Residency in Family Medicine based at the CLSC Côte-des-Neiges. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Cyr completed an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Concordia University, where he was also a member of the Co-Op Institute and the Science College, allowing him to undertake research projects and placements in various settings.
