Dr. Gerrit Prinsloo

Dr. Gerrit Prinsloo, MbChB, CCFP, dABAM, is an Addiction Medicine Research Fellow with the BC Centre on Substance Use and a University of British Columbia (UBC) Clinical Instructor on the Addiction Medicine Consult Service at St. Paul’s Hospital. Before starting full time clinical practice in addiction medicine, Dr. Prinsloo was a full service rural family physician with hospital privileges in emergency, obstetrics, family practice, and addiction medicine. His research interests include practical applications to improve addiction patient outcomes as well as research ethics. Dr. Prinsloo is also a study clinician on the OPTIMA clinical trial, and sits on the UBC Providence Health Care Research Ethics Board.
