Kendrah Rose, RN, is an Addiction Nursing Fellow with the BC Centre on Substance Use and an addiction nurse on the Sunshine Coast. Her interests include patient advocacy and empowerment, the neurobiology of addiction, the use of addiction pharmacotherapies, and harm reduction strategies. Kendrah has worked in many different roles in the area of substance use in both rural and urban contexts, including working on a mobile health bus providing care to homeless and unstably housed individuals, medical detox, and opioid agonist treatment (OAT). Her work is centered on OAT, case management, advocacy, and education for local family doctors, allied health staff, and community members. Kendrah is currently working on completing her Masters of Nursing-Nurse Practitioner training.
