An update to BC’s provincial Guideline for the Clinical Management of Opioid Use Disorder is anticipated for release later this fall. Join the October 26 BC ECHO on Substance Use CME-accredited session co-presented by guideline committee members Dr. Paxton Bach and Dr. Sharon Vipler for a preview of key practice changes and updated recommendations from the forthcoming guideline.
Learning objectives:
- describe key updates to the forthcoming provincial guideline,
- apply principles of care when providing opioid use disorder care, and
- initiate opioid agonist treatment following updated titration and induction protocols.
BC ECHO on Substance Use program brings together primary care providers and interdisciplinary addiction experts in a virtual network. Providers hear expert advice guided by the latest evidence, share resources, expand collective knowledge, and enhance expertise in the treatment and management of substance use disorders.
