“Care Guidance for Benzodiazepine Prescribing”

- identify the clinical use and safer prescribing practices for benzodiazepine receptor agonists and Z-drugs (BZRAs),
- understand the risks associated with long-term BZRA use,
- discuss alternative treatment options to BZRAs, and
- describe how to design a BZRA taper for patients who have been prescribed BZRAs for an extended period of time
