Measuring BC’s Drug Supply: What Drug Checking Can Reveal About Risks, Trends, and Policy
Presenter: Samuel Tobias
Co-Presenter: Will McLellan
Wednesday April 29
12pm – 1pm PDT
Join us in April for a webinar on Drug Checking in British Columbia. Drug checking services help individuals understand what’s in their drugs, but they can also reveal important patterns in the broader unregulated drug supply. We’ll explain the different sources of drug supply data with a focus on drug checking data and how it can be used to track changes in the drug market and improve our understanding of drug-related harms.
The Research & Dialogue speaker series places substance use research in dialogue with lived experience to put the latest evidence into real world context. Each webinar features a researcher who is paired with a respondent with lived or living experience.
This free speaker series is geared towards a wide variety of knowledge users including people with lived and living experience, friends and family members of those impacted by substance use, program delivery services/frontline responders, policy makers, clinicians, and researchers. We also encourage anyone in the general public with an interest in substance use and addictions to attend.
