Josey Ross, MA
Acting Director, Education and Clinical Activities
Josey Ross is the Acting Director, Education and Clinical Activities at the BCCSU. She is a white settler of Scottish and German descent who grew up on the beautiful lands of the Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, and Squamish nations and now lives on the traditional and unceded territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt nations.
Josey co-leads a skilled, dedicated, and highly-productive team of almost 30 focused on education, training, and clinical guidance with the goal of reducing substance-related harms and improving care for people seeking to change their relationship with substance use.
Josey has written or overseen the development of 15+ provincial and national guidelines, protocols, and guidance documents, co-authored two textbook chapters, and led the planning of BCCSU’s annual conference. When she’s not working on education and clinical guidance, Josey can be found adding birds to her life list, knitting, and mastering gluten-free baking.
